The Hager & Dowling Foundation, established in 2007, was designed to create an opportunity to provide financial and other support to various charitable organizations. The impetus behind the Hager & Dowling Foundation is a desire to provide direct support to our community without subsidizing the exorbitant administrative costs that are occasionally expended by some outside charitable organizations. The Hager & Dowling Foundation Board and the Hager & Dowling firm employees help to minimize administrative costs by volunteering their time for organizing and participating in fund raising events and charitable activities.

RECIPIENTS

In 2007, the board elected to donate the majority of the proceeds for the year to Court Appointed Special Advocates of Santa Barbara County.
www.sbcasa.org

• The Mission of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Santa Barbara County is to assure a safe, permanent, nurturing home for every abused and/or neglected child by providing a highly trained volunteer to advocate for them in the court system.

• The goal of CASA of Santa Barbara County is to prevent abused, neglected, and abandoned children from becoming lost in the Juvenile Dependency system and working to find them safe, permanent homes as soon as possible. We work carefully to match a CASA volunteer with a child to ensure that the child's best interest is served.

Contributing to CASA gives the Hager & Dowling Foundation the opportunity to keep close ties with the legal community while helping those most desperately in need, abused children.

The board will review the donation recipients annually.
